Social Crochet Events
As well as running crochet workshops and Learn to Crochet sessions here in Melksham, I also host relaxed social crochet events throughout the year. They’re all about carving out time for yourself, meeting like-minded makers, and being part of a growing crochet community!

YARN & YAP
Yarn & Yap is my friendly, no-pressure social crochet event in Melksham – the perfect excuse to grab your hook, eat some cake, and have a good old natter with fellow crocheters.
Just started on your crochet journey? You’re not the only one. These events are packed with those on their first project, dabblers, and yarn-obsessed pros alike. There’s no teaching (that’s what my workshops are for!) – just a lovely chance to make time for yourself, feel part of the crochet community, and finally finish that project that’s been living in your bag for weeks.
CROISSANTS & CROCHET
Croissants & Crochet is exactly what it sounds like – a cosy morning of yarn, pastries, and good company in the heart of Melksham.
It’s a relaxed social crochet session where you can bring your current project (or start a new one!), sip on a cuppa, and chat with other lovely crocheters. No pressure, no teaching, just a brilliant excuse to make time for yourself and be part of the local crochet community. Oh – and did I mention the croissants?!

At every social crochet event, you can expect a cosy, relaxed vibe with:
- Unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate and homemade cake (because crafting is hungry work)
- A magazine and book swap table
- The famous Yarn Scrap Sack, stuffed full of oddments and treasures for you to rummage through
Bring along your current project (or something half-finished you’ve been meaning to get back to) and your favourite mug -it saves on the washing up and adds to the homely feel!
We meet at That Meeting Space in Melksham Market Place – a brilliant central spot with plenty of room for crochet, cake and chatter. It’s a lovely chance to hang out with other crocheters, make new friends, and feel part of the growing crochet community.
Spaces fill up fast, so don’t leave it too late to book your ticket!
