I’ll be completely honest with you, when I first started my CABIN CREW crochet membership club, I wasn’t 100% sure whether anyone would join it or what exactly it would be like.
We were mid-way through one of the lockdowns and what I did know was that some people were struggling in a whole manner of ways, and I felt that I could do something to help, albeit through the power of crochet – but we’ve all got to play to our strengths I suppose!
So, I planned out a rough idea of what it would be like, got to grips with doing LIVE Facebook videos and then launched THE CABIN CREW CROCHET MEMBERSHIP!
Why is it called CABIN CREW I hear you ask. Well, it’s got nothing to do with aeroplanes (even though I get loads of Facebook Group requests from people working for Virgin Atlantic!); it’s called the CABIN CREW because I spend a huge amount of time in my CROCHET CABIN, and so when I do the LIVE videos, or write the free patterns, or host secret crochet workshops, that’s where I am. And whether you’re there in person or just viewing on your phone or tablet, I want you to feel like the Cabin is your second home too (as it is mine!)
But here’s the thing, even though I hoped members would start to get to know each other a little better through a shared love of crochet, I didn’t expect it to run as deep as it does, or how much members enjoy the ‘chat’ side of things – I thought they were just joining for the free patterns!
The CABIN CREW has been going for 2 years now, and I thought it was time to answer some of the questions I get asked the most about being in the CABIN CREW, so here goes!
What is the CABIN CREW?
The CABIN CREW is my exclusive membership club for crocheters. It’s largely an online community but there are opportunities to meet up (if you want to!) Members who sign up for a 12 month membership will receive:

Yes, absolutely! Most of the activities take place in the Facebook group, which you can catch up / join in with / watch anytime, and if you can’t make the date of the SECRET CROCHET WORKSHOP, or you live miles away, you can buy the kit instead.
I’ve only just learnt to crochet, will I be able to take part in the tutorials etc?
Yes, absolutely! I’m well known for designing patterns and kits that are easy to do, and which come with very detailed and easy to follow instructions. As long as you can do basic crochet, you’ll be able to crochet all the makes from the Facebook tutorials and the monthly patterns.
I work on a Wednesday so I’ll miss the Wednesday Waffles!
Fear not, ALL the videos that take place in the Facebook group (including the LIVE videos) are always available to watch so you can catch up and watch whenever you like.
Will I have to be on camera?!
No! It’s just me that appears in the Facebook LIVE videos and Wednesday Waffle chats. You can comment all you like but you’ll never have to show your face (unless you want to of course!)
Can I pay in monthly instalments?
I’m afraid not. It’s a one off payment of £55 per year.
I work full time, I don’t really have time.
Time for what?! The CABIN CREW is an online community that you can pick and choose what you take part in. Once the FREE pattern lands in your inbox, it’s yours to keep forever so there’s no rush to make the item. The videos stay in the Facebook group forever too you so can watch whenever you like (as long as you’ve paid your yearly membership fee). The CABIN CREW is really just an extension of your favourite hobby of crochet…and if you’ve got time to crochet, you’ve got time for the CABIN CREW!
Can I still come to workshops if I’m not a member of the CABIN CREW?
Yes, of course! All workshops are open to everyone, but they do book up quickly so being in the CABIN CREW allows you to book early to make sure you get a place. The SECRET CROCHET WORKSHOPS are exclusive to CABIN CREW members but non members will be able to purchase the kit at a later date.
