Hey there, crochet lovers and fellow crafters! Hands up if you’ve had a crocheted heart or two on your hook this month? That’s me, with both hands up! I’ve had so many crochet hearts on my hook that I’ve become slightly addicted….but there’s method in my madness – I promise.

Let’s be honest, in the world of crafting, few symbols evoke as much warmth and sentiment as the humble heart. And it’s no surprise that so many of you (like me) have been crocheting hearts this February. But now that Valentine’s day has passed, why am I still crocheting hearts I hear you ask?! Well, fellow crocheters, I have a secret to share with you…

Crochet hearts are for life…not just for valentine’s Day!

In my humble opinion, crochet hearts are timeless tokens of love and care. With their versatility and charm, they can find their way into various projects, from adorning blankets and garments to embellishing greeting cards and home decor. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing lately – crocheting hearts for all sorts of projects…because crochet hearts are for life, not just for Valentine’s Day!

First up, and using my FREE CROCHET PATTERN and King Cole Cottonsoft yarn, is a very simple heart garland. Try using different colours for your hearts and you have the perfect gift for a loved one, a new born’s nursery or decorations for a party.

Next, using the same FREE pattern, is another heart garland! To make this, I have crocheted two hearts in the same colour and crocheted them together using a dc stitch. Just before I finished crocheting each one together, I have popped a little stuffing inside….and then made more. I’ve threaded them on some garden twine that I stumbled across in the shed. I bloody love garden twine!

Last, but certainly not least, is a few more ideas for those adorable crocheted hearts. The pattern for these hearts has been adapted slightly for my CABIN CREW COMMUNITY membership, but you can easily use the same free pattern from above.

So there you have it, a few ideas and some crochet inspo for crocheted hearts! Remember that you can grab the FREE pattern for the hearts HERE, or find out a little more about my CABIN CREW CROCHET COMMUNITY by clicking HERE.

Happy Crocheting!
