Crochet Pattern: Super Storage Basket – Crochet yourself a Super Storage Basket and start your yarn organisation today! These are made from t shirt yarn which is made from recycled t shirts. They are firm to the touch and are very hardwearing. These are perfect for storing yarn in, using in the bathroom for your cosmetics and smellies, or filling with the favourite treats of someone special and giving as a gift. Choosing your colour will be the tricky part….there are so many lovely colours and patterns to choose from.

To make a Super Storage Basket you will need:

✿ 100m of t shirt yarn

✿ extra yarn for the star (optional)

✿ an 8mm hook

✿ a stitch marker

✿ a darning needle

✿ a pair of scissors

This pattern includes step by step instructions with photos, as well as videos to explain stitches, and is suitable for someone who has crocheted before.

These baskets are made of Hoooked Zpagetti which is 100% recycled textile yarn made of superior quality recycled textile selvedges and remnants. The original Zpagetti t-shirt yarn is handpicked and selected by the Hoooked Production Centre in Portugal. The composition of most of the Zpagetti T-shirt yarn is cotton with a small percentage elastane. Because the yarn is made from recycled textiles, you will find that it can differ in thickness and elasticity, and may sometimes have knots where it has been joined.

Crocheting with t shirt yarn is a little different to crocheting with DK or chunky yarn. You may need to hold the hook differently to normal, and you might need to use more of an arm movement rather than a wrist movement. It can feel like a bit of a work out at times, so please take plenty of rests.
